Strange New World:
Funny that Strange World was actually one of the trailers featured in front of this film at my theater. While the latest Pixar movie sagged under the weight of having way too much world-building to do in too little time, Wakanda Forever managed to elaborate on the fascinating world of Wakanda from the first movie while also showing us another fascinating secret city. Under the sea!
Both tales tapped into an ancient legend for their Secret World reveals. But while Strange World’s reveal had ties to an old tale that many U.S. moviegoers might not have heard of, Wakanda Forever gave us an ever-popular undersea world to explore.
Here are two things human beings from all continents have always weaved stories around: the stars and the sea. Cities underneath the sea will never get old.
