Ask yourself: What is something you’ve learned to be true the hard way?

Now spin a story that’s the opposite of that.

Personal example: I learned a long time ago that people can change but you can’t change them. They have to want it. In my real life, I stick pretty closely to that tenet, but man, do I love writing this fantasy into my books.
